Everybody knows that sport is one of the few things that make people healthy.

I am fond of sports. I go in for sport all the year round swimming, cycling and rollerblading in summer. I enjoy skating and sledding in winter. I also go in for athletics. I have good results in running, jumping and in climbing the rope.Of all outdoor games I like volleyball best of all.

I started playing volleyball when I was in the sixth grade. We played volleyball at our PE classes and thanks to our coach I got interested in this kind of sports.Volleyball can be played inside or outside. It is for two teams of six players. You need a ball and a high net. You hit the ball with your hand or arm.

You can’t catch or hold the ball. The winner is the first team to get fifteen points.We always play volleyball in our tracksuits and sneakers or shorts and T-shirts when it is warm.We have training sessions in our school gym. We have trainings three times a week. Sometimes I take part in competitions. I feel happy and excited because I am fond of winning.

Volleyball teaches me to work in a team, which is very important for my future life. Volleyball makes me fast, strong and healthy.This game gives me energy and good mood.

Sample 2:

Yesterday I was invited to watch a volleyball match at the local stadium. It was a home game so my town, Molfetta, was playing against Trento, a team from the North of Italy. I had never been to watch volleyball before because it was not a very popular sport where I grew up. I had seen a football match before though and really enjoyed the atmosphere.

Although we arrived quite late, we managed to get a seat during the first set. We were in the front row so we were close to the players. They were all very tall. Molfetta’s team was dressed in white shirts whereas Trento’s players were wearing black. The downside was that we didn’t have a clear view of the net so we couldn’t really see where the ball was going. We went to stand up at the top of the stairs and had a much better view of the whole stadium.

The atmosphere was very lively. Between sets, there were people moving around and loud music playing. During the match, the crowd cheered and clapped. There was a group of Molfetta fans that were playing drums and singing songs to support the team. They waved a red and white flag that represented the colours of the city. The final set was especially close but in the end, Trento won the match with three sets against zero. I still enjoyed the match even though my team lost because volleyball is a very impressive sport to watch. It’s amazing how high the players can jump!

Everybody has different hobbies that they like to do for fun or just to relax. There are many kind of activities like football, basketball, swimming, or baseball. It all depends on each personality. For me, volleyball is my favorite hobby because it’s part of my life and I can not live without it. Since I was a little girl I played volleyball in the school team and also with my friends in the neighborhood.

My mother told me that I liked kicking the ball around and had so much fun with it when I was only about two years old. Since then, playing volleyball is my favorite’s sport and it is my hobby whenever I have free time. Playing volleyball also helps me to relax and be confident when I have stress and frustration. For example, after doing my homework or when I come home from work I play a little bit with my kids outside of the house or we go to the park, if the weather is nice.

When I play volleyball I feel healthy and stronger, besides I meet new people from the neighbor. I not only like playing volleyball but I also enjoy watching volleyball on T.V. when I go to the beach, my family and friends get together to play and we have a lot of fun. For me, volleyball is a part of my life and it means a lot to me. Currently I am trying to get in a team before the summer comes. It is so much fun to play with the ball.
