Khi sử dụng so sánh bằng với danh từ, cần xác định danh từ đó là danh từ đếm được hay không đếm được. Nếu là danh từ đếm được, ta dùng: many và few; danh từ không đếm được, ta dùng: much và little.

Ngoài ra, chúng ta còn sử dụng cấu trúc: the same…as khi so sánh bằng với danh từ:
